EMS Documentation Services
Specific environmental goals reside within each of these categories that include storm water management, water-use
reduction, construction waste management, and indoor chemical and pollutant source control. Each of these efforts has one
common goal: to integrate environmental considerations into facility management. To accomplish these goals, the ISO14001
EMS Standard is used for the implementation and over-site of the LEED system.
Let EMS Documentation Services Help You to Incorporate the LEED System
A systematic process used worldwide to work toward environmental sustainability, the ISO14001 Environmental Management
Standard makes it easy to incorporate programs such as the LEED system. Providing a path to continual improvement, the
ISO14001 EMS standard includes five concepts that can help facility managers improve performance on environmental issues.
These five concepts are: aspects, impacts, objectives, targets and significant aspects. When applied, the ISO14001 EMS
Standard becomes a powerful tool for facility managers implementing and providing over-site of the LEED system. In turn, the
LEED system provides quantifiable data when measuring environmental sustainability of a facility. This data not only satisfies
requirements of the ISO14001 Standard, but also provides evidence of a successful application of an earth-friendly and
energy-efficient design.
With a MS Word document, instead of receiving your manual in the mail, you'll receive a Microsoft Word file
of your manual ready for viewing on your computer screen. Because your manual is written using MS Word,
revisions can easily be made, and easily converted to a PDF file before distribution.
An electronic copy of your EMS Manual cuts down on paper usage, and helps conserve natural resources.
With an electronic file of your EMS Manual, a tree will be planted in your honor! Your tree will be planted in a
current US project that will help alleviate significant environmental problems. Projects include restoration,
planting to stabilizing river banks, to rebuilding for birds and animals.
Who Will Plant Your Tree
Your tree will be planted by American Forest. They have planted over 20 million new trees in environmental restoration
restoration projects throughout North America. American Forest is the nation’s oldest (501C3) nonprofit organization,
founded in 1875. American Forest is a world leader in tree planting for environmental restoration, a pioneer in the
science and practice of urban forestry, and a primary communicator of the benefits of trees and forests.
Why Trees?
Trees and forest are a crucial part of the Earth’s ecosystem. They are green machines that clear our air
and water by absorbing pollutants and stabilizing soil.
People often take for granted that all environmental management system documentation services are alike. While it's true that
the ISO14001 and FSC Standards are the same worldwide, the terms, services and conditions for documenting these systems
can vary substantially. At EMS Documentation Services, we offer the most features in the industry, and we are able to minimize
fees, and save you valuable time. Don't assume that all documention services are equal. Check out what we have to offer
compared to others, and consider us when it's time to document your Environmental Management System.
